Leading edge technology 10 month contract
The Grid Technology Developer will develop a range of production-ready and grid-enabled analysis tools for a forth coming e-Research Portal platform.
Responsibilities - Perform a leading role in the design and build of grid-enabled software - Appropriately re-use/re-purpose existing solutions - Effectively debug reported problems within the development and deployment environments - Document all software, to a high standard
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, or a computational science or engineering discipline - Substantial experience in object oriented software design and development - Experience with Grid Technologies including GT4 (Globus Toolkit 4), GridFTP, GSI (Grid Security Infrastructure), and MyProxy - Experience in Web Security technologies - Experience with Java, especially J2EE - Experience with Unix, especially Linux
