The National Gallery of Victoria is seeking a Web Designer to join the Multimedia team. This position is responsible for day-to-day web design and production for the NGV.

We are looking for a person with a special set of skills – a combination of visual and interaction design, plus the technical understanding required to bring the two together to create a special experience for our visitors.

Core skills required include HTML, CSS & Javascript, Flash (design, interaction & coding), and Photoshop. Success will also depend on your ability to communicate ideas, collaborate, plan, and work both independently and collaboratively within the team. A genuine love of art and an understanding of the special imperatives and sensitivities of delivering cultural content to the public would be an advantage.

The NGV Multimedia team is a small group of multidisciplinary specialists developing and delivering content to displays within the NGV and on the internet.
